What began as a Firefly-themed coffee shop, Distant Worlds is a no-holds-barred sci-fi/fantasy hang-out spot with thematic drink menu (I challenge you to get all the references!) and tasty vegan bites.
Need a space for a DnD group? They gotchu.
Wanna hang out and do crafty things with crafty people? Pull up an armchair and knit awhile.
Play some board games? Debate about the Trekkie-verse? Answer the question: “Where (WHEN???) would you take a Tardis?”
There’s a little something happening all week for all your nerdy needs.
They close up shop at 8pm, so if you want to keep the conversations going, I recommend heading up the street to the Triple R Brewing Alley Tavern (21+).
Parking/Transportation:
Distant Worlds is close to the Roosevelt and 65th Light Rail Station and folks with cars can park for free at Roosevelt Square.
