Climate change is the most significant challenge of our lives, and demands our attention, resources, and talents as we pursue and develop emerging technologies – including XR! It can help in our fight against climate change in several ways, including helping replace wasteful consumption of materials, transportation, and industrial processes.
Recently, AWE hosted the XR Prize Challenge, a year-long, global competition with a $100,000 grand prize for solutions harnessing XR to fight climate change. FigminXR was one of 11 finalists in the XR Prize Challenge with a focus on reducing wasteful material practices and promoting sustainability.
Our speakers will present FigminXR as an illustration of the important role XR plays in our fight against climate change, as well as touching on the broader conversation about sustainability and social impact.
