A web app that gives users personalized recommendations of Seattle events and activities. The app uses natural language processing to perform information extraction to find events based on the user’s input From concept to product in 5 days with a team of 4 Made with Meteor Set up Meteor architecture from back-end to front-end. Scraped websites and pulled API data to seed database. Wrote a natural language processing algorithm to categorize and match user input with events

EXPERIENCE

HERE | CHICAGO, IL |Technical Writer | March 2013 – October 2015 Collaborated with developers to create API, specifications, reference, and tutorial documentation in video, online, and print formats for internal and external customers

• Built an entire documentation pipeline using a combination of industry-standard documentation tools like Git, Madcap Flare, and SharePoint, saving technical writing team hundreds of hours of effort through single sourcing documentation code
• Set up documentation templates for pipeline using vanilla CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
