·         Acting as the face of Spielbound when dealing with customers: marketing new products, problem solving issues that arise, answering questions, and explaining how a board game café runs

Conservation Director

·         Organized monthly adult educational events aimed at building buy-in for local conservation issues with formats including town halls on OPPD and community solar, community conversations on local issues, workshops, film screenings, recycling facility tours, and more

·         Organized and managed community-specific projects focused on local issues, including a prairie restoration project in Columbus, NE with multiple public and private partnerships

Graduate Research Assistant

·         Worked as part of a student-led team on a Sustainable Cities Index project for Newark, DE and Wilmington, DE fully-funded by the DE General Assembly through its Science, Engineering, and Technology program

·         Researched where these cities stand in terms of sustainability based on STAR Communities’ sustainability rating index methodology as well as the benefits the cities can receive from working with STAR in the future

·         Created recommendations for sustainability improvements based on the cities’ characteristics and past sustainability efforts

·         Used ArcGIS to create maps showcasing Wilmington and Newark’s sustainability assets and progress

Metropolitan Energy Center, Kansas City, MO   June 2016 – August 2016

Clean Cities Intern

·         Paid Summer Internship funded by a grant from the Department of Energy to promote diffusion of alternative fuel knowledge

·         Conducted research on the VW settlement to identify new project opportunities and key stakeholders

·         Created Fact Sheets and other informational documents, most notably a VW Settlement Fact sheet

·         Co-created a new website including file directories, and organizational trees to improve overall web navigation of the new website to make it more user-friendly

Delaware Sustainable Energy Utility, Dover, DE   September 2015 – May 2016

·         Researched and wrote a report on the financial and geographic viability of using reflective roofs in Delaware

·         Assisted in the editing of draft Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) legislation that the DESEU worked on to be presented to the Delaware legislature and created educational material, including PowerPoint presentations and a policy brief

·         Worked on a team to redevelop the DESEU’s New Home Construction incentive program and assisted in the writing of a draft Program Operating Plan
