Michael Afrides

I am a full-stack developer. Recently, I was the lead developer on 2 MVPs for an educational software startup where I got to use many of my technical skills, but what I really want is an opportunity where I can use my other skills as well. Sure I’m a developer, but besides code and problem solving, I speak many other languages. I speak UX out of empathy for customers; I speak business requirements from my experience as a business analyst; and I speak regular person from years of blue-collar work, which makes me a good collaborator. I thrive where I can have ownership, where there is lively discussion, and where iterative development is encouraged. Iterative development works great for me because I know when to engineer, but also when to hack. Outside of work, I’m a hobby coder and continuous learner, a yoga aficionado, and a consumer of the new digital media (yes, not just a producer).
