Full Stack Software Engineer

I am recent graduate of a Master’s of Computer Science program at Illinois Institute of Technology. In 2012, I graduated from St. Vincent College, a small liberal arts college in Western Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor’s degree in History. After college, I was hired as a librarian, teacher, and administrator at Fuzhou Lakeside International School (FLIS), a K-12 school in Fuzhou, China. During my first six weeks at FLIS I was appointed Acting Principal and was responsible for managing a staff of over 20 teachers, organizing over 90 students, and debating which teaching pedagogies the school should implement with the Chinese businessmen who owned the establishment. When I returned to teaching, I instructed classes in History, Guitar, Library Science, and Computer Science to grades K-12. After my time in China I decided to pursue my interest in Computer Science, a field which I recognized had the greatest potential to rapidly make a dramatic difference in the world.

I work as a Full Stack Software Engineer on this project using Python Django.
