Focus Buddy – Frontend | Backend | Demo

An alarm cycle app that allows a user to save their preferred length of work and break time for any activity.

●      Conceived of and designed a Rails API backend to store data and a React frontend with Redux and Redux-thunk to handle client interaction.

●      Created functional dynamic timers and gave users full CRUD functionality over these timers.

●      Implemented Http-only cookies to enable users to log in and log out.

●      Scoped fully custom styling to components using CSS modules.

 

Solar System Generator – Frontend | Backend | Demo | App

A solar system creator that allows a user to design and render a solar system model.

●      Developed a rails API backend with endpoints for solar systems, planets, and stars.

●      Designed frontend with vanilla JavaScript using ES6 syntax.

●      Created fully custom CSS styling to create a 3-dimensional solar system appearance that changes dynamically based on user input.

 

MyMediaTracker – Github | Demo | App

An app that lets a user keep track of the movies, books, and TV shows they have experienced.

●      Designed and developed a rails app using MVC pattern with models for users, media, experiences, and categories.

●      Allowed user sign-in with a google account using the OAuth gem.

●      Implemented complex ActiveRecord scope methods to parse and filter data.
