Date Night Planner:

·       Group project to create React Native mobile app hosted in Expo to help users plan date nights with significant others

·       Used React Navigation library to link multiple screens together and allow for swiping between pages

·       Integrated Native Base components to build app UI including card swiping mechanism, date/category pickers, login forms

·       Created persistent user login via Google by storing authentication tokens in asynchronous storage

·       Linked user category selections throughout app to self-built API routes hosted on Heroku, storing information on MongoDB

 

Meal Prepper:

·       Built full stack web app that allows user to plan a schedule of recipes and prep times throughout the week

·       Dynamically display recipe data from Spoonacular API and then display user selected recipes using FullCalendar.io

·       Used Sequelize ORM to build data models for users, plans, and recipes. Created MySQL database to store and join models

·       Added user authentication using Passport.js to store user email and password and route user to appropriate app pages
