• Parking and Transportation: Paid parking is available in the nearby garages, as well as street parking. Parking Options. Some of the Amazon Office buildings within ~20-25 minutes walking also offer free downtown parking (double check before leaving): Doppler, Day 1, Obidos/Rufus, Fiona, Ruby/Dawson. The venue is easily accessible by public transportation, with multiple bus routes and the Westlake Station light rail station within walking distance.
Schedule:
• Gates open at 4.30 pm!
• 4.30 pm – 5.10 pm: Pre-event networking, light appetizers will be served.
• 5.15 pm – 5.50 pm: The Strategic Leadership track: Spotlight conversation with Carmen Hudson about Inclusion in Talent Acquisition. This talk will be moderated by Klara Hermesz from the Sourcing7 (Board of Director for Education & Community Learning).
• 5.55 pm – 6.30 pm: The Tactical Practicional track: Sourcing Session with Dean Da Costa and Jeremy Da Costa. Learn about Diversity sourcing tricks and tools to boost your pipeline.
• 6.30 pm- 7.30 pm: Post-event networking. You asked for more networking, and we listened! After the talks and presentations are over, we invite you to hang around and grab the opportunity to connect with the speakers, the community, and the Sourcing7 crew.
Livestream and Recording
The event will be recorded and livestreamed (between 5 pm and 6.30 pm Pacific Time), but you must have a ticket to attend or access the livestream. As we have limited space available, please book a Virtual Ticket if you’ll only attend online or if you are interested in the recording. About Carmen Hudson
Carmen Hudson is an experienced Talent Advisor and the author of “The Corporate Recruiting Playbook.” With a deep passion for talent acquisition, she has led corporate recruiting teams, co-founded the tech recruiting conference Talent42, and educated recruiters and hiring managers globally. Carmen’s expertise in diversity recruiting is well-known, and she has written extensively on the historical and systemic barriers to hiring diverse talent. Her corporate experience includes senior roles at Yahoo!, Starbucks, Microsoft, and Amazon. Carmen is also on the Board of Directors of Seattle YouthCare, a non-profit dedicated to ending youth homelessness.
About Klara Hermesz
Klara Hermesz is a Learning and Talent Development Program Manager passionate about building meaningful, equitable, and scalable solutions with a human-centered design mindset. She is a strong advocate for mentorship programs and community learning initiatives. She currently serves as the Board Director for Community Learning at Sourcing7+, where she supports and empowers TA professionals in their careers. She is also a Global Program Manager at Uber, reimagining mentoring programs.
About Dean Da Costa
Dean is a highly experienced and decorated manager, recruiter, researcher and sourcer who also boasts outstanding experience and skills in Human Resources, Project Management, Training, OSINT, Process Improvement and more. He is best known for his work in the highly difficult security and mobile arena’s, and the gold star winning numbers he produced. His keen insight and creation of groundbreaking tools and processes to enhance and change staffing as we know it have proven he is a “Staffing Thought Leader.” Despite all this he remains first and foremost one of the top sourcers, staffing managers and full cycle recruiters in the industry and a true “Search Authority”.
About Jeremy Da Costa
Jeremy Da Costa is a nationally recognized Talent Sourcer with exceptional skills in Boolean, Semantic, and Natural Language searching. Known for his superior research and ideation skills, Jeremy has been a speaker at multiple Sourcecon conferences and a regular blogger on the Sourcecon website. At VillageMD, he worked as a Senior Analyst, Strategic Sourcing, utilizing a diverse range of sourcing tools and techniques. His extensive experience also includes roles at Wayne Technologies, Lockheed Martin, and BAE Systems, where he sourced candidates for a wide variety of positions. Jeremy’s innovative approach and dedication to the field have made him a leader in talent sourcing.
