Our special sauce is a truly relationship-oriented engaged community that loves our region and cares about each other. We believe that doing business together is more fun and productive when we treat each other with dignity and respect while being real and human in our conversations.
At the end of the day we’re all just people who want to be loved, understood and cared for whether you’re fresh out of a coding bootcamp, a serial startup founder, an engineer, an investor, a recruiter, a marketer, a designer, an executive, an admin, or new to town looking to get a pulse on the PNW tech community and our awesome ecosystem. Everyone is welcome and appreciated in our community.
At New Tech events you’re a human first who’s expected to be curious about, and helpful to, anyone you meet in the community. You really have to experience it to understand it since no other networking events have our community first feeling.
Most networking events you’ve attended have probably been awkward with forced conversations and empty transactional interactions. People with a ‘how can you help me’ attitude stiffly trying to be professional shove their card at you while looking over your shoulder for a better target to treat like a wallet. You may have felt like you couldn’t get out of there fast enough to shake off the experience.
When you attend our events once, twice, or ten times a year, you’ll have the opposite experience where you see old friends with a ‘how can I help you’ attitude, meet new helpful friends, discover new innovation, and have conversations that move your career forward. New Tech is truly you and everyone in our community in it together for each other.
Our Vision – We help the Pacific Northwest technology community see, discover and decide to experience our ecosystem as a world of imagination, possibility and collaboration. We do this by sharing our stories and the model of our company, in a way that is assisting our members to be human together while helping each other build their tech careers, companies and our community collaboratively and joyfully. Join us for fun and connections to the people in the pacific northwest driving tomorrow’s technology with today’s innovations.
At New Tech Events You’ll Meet People Who Believe in:
- Giving first to be impactful, inclusive, and inspiring locally and globally
- Building meaningful relationships while having fun
- Celebrating & sharing amazing innovation built in your backyard together
- Supporting your tech careers, companies and Northwest collaborative culture
…and you won’t get that awkward scrunchy feeling in your stomach that most networking events give you.
This isn’t your typical networking group. More than that, we’re an engaged collaborative community of startup and enterprise founders, engineers, entrepreneurs, employees, influencers, investors and innovators who help each other to take the next steps with our careers and companies.
Join us to connect online and at events to share your highs and lows, learn from the mistakes and successes of your peers and local leaders, make friends, refer business, and make life and work better together.
New Tech Northwest is:
- An active community movement of innovation leaders and lovers helping each other build tomorrows careers and companies together

- The fastest growing monthly event group in Meetup.com history (out of 300,000+ international meetups)
- Representing our community on the national stage, like that one time at the White House Tech Meetup
- Celebrating and pouring love on the people and companies making tech magic in the PNW
- Partnering with organizations supporting women, girls and underutilized minorities in tech and organizations working towards solutions to end homelessness
- More fun than a car full of Seahawks and Sounders fans racing around the Space Needle at 4:20
- Where you’re going to connect and party with the Northwest’s most smart, fun, innovative people and see fast, fun, inspiring tech presentations from companies ranging from startups to enterprise (i.e. Amazon, Nordstrom, Expedia, Microsoft, Alibaba, GoDaddy, ebay, Moz, Zillow, Redfin, T-Mobile, Samsung, Comcast, Verizon, Google, etc.)
What drives this success? YOU – our community. Together we share events, resources and fun with a “give first” attitude.
We have a three-pronged agenda to 1) celebrate and grow the Northwest’s amazing collaborative and philanthropic culture in the midst of hyperactive growth, 2) to collaborate with heartful leaders and community contributors, and 3) to support people who are creating fantastic tech companies and opportunities across the Pacific Northwest.
We are a strong community that connects and assists each other at monthly events, and on this website, Slack, Instagram and our Facebook Group 24/7. Our community includes startup and enterprise developers, designers, founders, investors, executives, marketers, recruiters, employees as well as lovers, friends and neighbors of these folks who enjoy meeting interesting people and the occasional confused Sasquatch. …YES, even the Sasquatch has fun at New Tech!

New York Tech Meetup and Boulder New Tech seeded our format and community spirit, we added Pacific Northwest culture in, and we’ve passed the torch by mentoring the launch of New Tech Portland (an affiliate of New Tech Northwest). We also support preservation of what’s great about Northwest culture with the hyper-growth that’s taking place across our great region, and partner with multiple non-profits to help our neighbors experiencing homelessness to get off the streets and back to their lives.
