You probably know about the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and the Tacoma Dome, but be prepared to learn about gems of Tacoma to explore that are beloved by the locals.

America’s Car Museum – This is an automobile lovers dream. Whether you’re a collector, an enthusiast, or just a fan of cars, this experience will captivate your imagination.

Bridge of Glass – Who wouldn’t want to walk over a bridge of glass? The bridge is the gateway that welcomes people to Tacoma! Colourful and joyous, this is a definite “to do”.

Broadway Centre for the Performing Arts – The Broadway Center is recognized for its leadership in presenting world-class performing artists, providing the largest performing arts education programs in Washington State and preserving our historic theaters – The Pantages and Rialto Theaters and Theatre on the Square.

Cheney Stadium – Sports Fans! Cheney Stadium is home to the Tacoma Rainiers minor-league baseball team of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League. Catch a game, and have a hot dog!

Children’s Museum of Tacoma – This museum experience engages young children in self-directed play through innovative design that celebrates imagination and encourages creativity.

Edgeworks Climbing – Edgeworks Climbing is Tacoma’s only full facility climbing gym and serves as southern Puget Sounds’ destination for indoor climbing, youth and adult events/competitions, a unique alternative to fitness.

Emerald Downs – The track hosts Live Thoroughbred racing from mid April through the end of September. Races are run Friday through Sunday from opening to Memorial Day.

Explore It Scavenger Hunts – Come explore downtown Tacoma with a scavenger hunt! Make memories playing a fun and interactive Scavenger Hunt with your phone and your feet. Play anytime, at your convenience, and have continued access to the game.

Foss Waterway Seaport – Puget Sound’s maritime heritage, education and event center, where families, students and entire communities come to discover, explore, work and play.

Grand Cinema – The Grand Cinema is a nonprofit, art house cinema in downtown Tacoma, featuring the best independent, foreign, and documentary films.

Griot’s Garage – Like cars… Love cars? Celebrate your inner car enthusiast at Griot’s Garage. The company produces car care products and its headquarters is an interactive car lover’s destination that combines an Auto Display, retail store, and car care school.

Museum of Glass – A museum, made of glass! Embark in live glass making, view the exhibits and collects or hold your very own special event here!

Point Defiance Park – Point Defiance Park is a fun way to spend the day. While you’re there, visit the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, the Rose Garden, beaches, trails, the boardwalk, the boathouse, or most notably, the forest!

Tacoma Art Museum – Tacoma Art Museum serves the diverse communities of the Northwest through its collection, exhibitions, and learning programs, emphasizing art and artists from the Northwest.

Tacoma Dome – An indoor arena able to seat 23,000 for concerts, shows and sporting events.

Tacoma Glassblowing Studio – Come experience the magic of glassblowing at Tacoma Glassblowing Studio. See glass in its purest form, create it with the help of our instructors. See what it’s like to be able to mold glass and create something by hand that will attract attention wherever you place it.

Taste of Tacoma – A great way to enjoy a community gathering in the city.  Featuring dozens of food vendors as well as arts & crafts booths, various home improvement and other services, several live music stages and a comedy stage, beer gardens, and a carnival ride/kiddie zone there’s something here for everyone.

Uncorked Canvas – Uncorked Canvas provides a fun and social atmosphere in which to be creative! A skilled artist will guide you step-by-step through creating the featured painting. Starting with a blank canvas (and a delightful beverage), you will go home with your own personal creation.

W.W Seymour Botanical Conservatory – A historical site opened in 1908, this is a brilliant venue for exotic plant displays.
