New Tech Flashback
1. What is the most valuable thing you’ve learned since you first presented at NTNW?
So much has happened since I spoke at NTNW in February of 2019! Perhaps the most valuable thing that I have learned since that time is how underutilized 1:1 coaching and peer coaching are at tech companies for everyone but execs!
2. Did the pandemic cause your company to change/pivot your business model or strategy?
I started facilitating virtual, interactive leadership and professional development programs in 2017, so while all of my in person engagements had to switch to the virtual space, I was at least a few years into developing my skills in virtual program design and facilitation. So in some ways, the pandemic has had more impacts on personal and family life than on my professional life.
3. What is the most innovative way your tech solves the problems of your customers?
Unlike many NTNW speakers, my work is not with tech itself – it is with the people of tech. I think that the most important innovation that I offer my clients is how to use listening and self-reflection as tools to create a feedback culture and how to use peer coaching to develop community and empowerment.
4. What is something interesting and unexpected that people would be surprised to learn about your company?
While my company is just me, a true passion of mine is collaborating with colleagues for maximal impact.
