In this week’s spotlight we caught up with Waichak Luk, Founder of Wayber

Why do you do what you do for a living?
I am excited about making a better home buying and selling experience as well as making it more affordable.

Why did you start your company?
I have seen a lot of inefficiencies and perverse incentives in the Real Estate Market.

What is the most innovative way your tech solves the problems of your customers?
We are using AI to help with the various facets of the real estate transaction, but my favourite is using AI to recognize the conditions of the roof and various other parts of a home.

What do you like about NTNW and what does this community mean to you?
I am honoured to be a part of this community.   I cherish the energy coming from this community.   Not only do I get to meet smart and interesting people, the folks here challenge you in the hopes of seeing you better yourself or your business, which is vital as an entrepreneur.

Is there any funny story or specific moment that sparked you to start this company?

The moment I saw the power of ChatGPT, I knew it was time to start Wayber.  Wayber has always been on the back on my mind as I had always found the commissions to be ridiculous, but with the advent of these LLM and Image AI’s I knew it was time to start Wayber.
