Thank You for Helping Us Evolve into New Tech Northwest.

Was your Thanksgiving break refreshing? Few things in life are as nourishing as time with family. Community is the next closest experience, and we’re grateful for you being active in our community.

With all the things I am grateful for, the Seattle community is very high on my list. Through your support and collaboration Red and I launched Seattle Tech Meetup almost 3 years ago. Since then we’ve grown into becoming New Tech Seattle, then adding New Tech Eastside and New Tech Tacoma.

Now we’re rebranding the main organization to be New Tech Northwest (NTNW) and adding New Tech PDX as an affiliated event in Portland. Our mission of bringing together the Seattle tech community to support each other now extends across the entire Pacific Northwest tech community.

unnamedWe’ll all be learning from, and doing more business with, Northwest people who are passionate about tech and innovation. Seattle will always be the core of NTNW, and the spirit of the Seattle tech community is what drives everything we do.

New Tech is about being a part of an active community helping people do great things together. The events are where we come together to make magic happen and now we’ll have more of those opportunities to collaborate and contribute to PNW people and companies.

Through the NTNW website we’ll be adding resources for you from across the Northwest. This will help all of our tech and startup communities to support each other better. You can find and share your jobs and your professional B2B services with other community members — as well as share news of other tech, startup and community events and much more.

New Tech evolves as your lives, careers and companies evolve. Lets face it, we’re all in the PNW cultural tank together. Each community has unique circumstances, interests and assets to share. What’s happening in tech around our region – whether in Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, Boise or Vancouver BC – the growth and innovation in Northwest technology is exciting – and precursors to a major cultural and population shift/boom.

Whether you’ve been with us from the start or recently joined the New Tech community, thank you for being a part of what’s putting our region at the front of the rollercoaster ride. Hang on!
