Hacking DEI – Another step forward on the journey

While disruptions and innovations flourish in the tech industry, cracking the nut on creating cultures that invite and support diversity, equity and inclusion is an area moving very slowly forward. Granted, as the infographic below illustrates, it’s a very complicated issue. The good news is that many talented, smart focused people are collaborating on how to expand opportunities in tech to women, people of color, veterans, older workers, people with disabilities, pay equity, etc.

Last month New Tech sponsored and participated in a DEI Hackathon produced by Diverse City and SM Diversity. Many of these issues, and potential solutions, were shared and worked on with people from many diverse backgrounds.
